New Technologies

Constant innovation is the name of the technology game. Every week we see
new products released that either do the same thing better for less, or do
something new. Think cell phone or music CDs, fax machines, or PC's
themselves, which have all taken off in the last 20 years. This year
the question is do you wnat a camera in your cell phone.
New Technologies are
those on the cutting edge or at least perceived to be on the cutting edge
by most of us. They do things you can't without them, or cost
a lot less than their equivalents did just a year ago. Be forewarned however, the cutting edge
is nicknamed "the bleeding edge" for a reason. Version 1.0
products almost never work as well as the vendor hoped they would.
It is okay to want to
be the first on your block to have the latest and greatest. Just remember
your neighbor will get better for less in just a few months. A few of the
most obvious coming soon technologies are listed on the right, with links
to additional details.
On a tight budget or
uncomfortable with less than bullet-proof products? Then sit tight on most of
these this year.
