1898 in Windham Township. William was an Evangelist/Methodist. He
married Laura J. Lalonde (1924-1955) in Ottawa. He lived on Windham Street, Simcoe in the
1930s. He left his family and rumor has it he went to Alberta. I would like to find his final
resting place to complete this family history. BUTCHER -- Seeking information about descendants of William Butcher and Mary Ann Hammond, who came from England to Walsingham, Norfolk County, in the early 1800s. Their daughter, Maria (born 1846 in Welland), my great-great grandmother, married Daniel Ferguson of Norfolk. They left the area, but Maria’s siblings stayed: David Butcher (1844-1924), William (1858-1931), Abigail (1854-1951 married Joseph Pierce), and Mary Ann (1851-1927 married Robert Lounsbury).
