She was the eldest child of Henry Malcolm Oliver Smith and Clara Jeanette Davis. She married John "Jack" Maxwell on 26 Nov 1907 at St. Thomas, Elgin County. She married Isaac Louis Froman on 12 Jun 1925 at Port Dover, Woodhouse Township, Norfolk County. She died 3 Feb 1974 in Simcoe and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.
