Notes: John was a Stratford, Ontario cabinet maker when he married Eleanor. Two years later he was a cabinet maker in "Dover" according to their first child's baptism record, which listed him as a carpenter in 1877. John was subsequently a carpenter employed by his brothers-in-law, John and George Jackson of Simcoe.
