"Born near Jarvis in 1894, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Evans. Attended Jarvis Public and Simcoe High Schools. Moved to Simcoe in 1908.  Member Molsons Bank staff 10 years. Manager Norfolk Memorial Works since 1922.  President Simcoe Board of Trade, 1924."
