"Simcoe Bantams win Provincial Title -- Three Links take deciding
tilt from Acton by 9-5 count. -- A thrilling climax to a lengthy season of
baseball thrills came at Victoria Park in Hamilton when the local
youngsters captured the O.B.A. Bantam "B" Championship by
whipping Action Boys Club 9-5 in the third and deciding game. Proving
themseleves great champions, the "Links" staged a sensational
comeback to post a well-earned triumph. Rogers came to the plate in the
big Simcoe 5th and slammed out a tremendous home run to give the Links the
lead for good." |
