"Nober wins Townsend Loop -- Waterford errors costly -- six miscues
help Greenshirts lose by margin of 14-6 -- playing almost errorless ball
behind the pitching of Carpenter, Nober pounded out 11 clean hits,
including six doubles, one triple and one homer. Harold
Mason made the only curcuit hit of the game and also had a double
while Len Mason hit a triple. |
