From the 12 Jun
1930 Simcoe Reformer:
"The Norfolk Regiment soccer teamdecisively defeated the Legion
aggregation 9-1 in a well-played but one-sided match at the high school
grounds. Bob Price, the Regiment's shifty centre forward, scored one goal
in the first half and three in the second. Jack Price tallied two and Sid
Hoye and George Darbyshire were each responsible for one."
From the 25 Sep 1930 Simcoe Reformer:
"Above is shown the soccer team of the Norfolk Regiment of Canada,
winners of all three cups, Molson's, Harrington's and League Trophy during
which they played 15 games, won 13 and drew 2. This is but the second time
since the League started that the three cups have been won by a single
team, the Crescent winning the honour in 1926." |
