This team entered the Western Ontario League composed of St. Thomas,
Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and Simcoe in 1903.
From the June 5, 1904 Simcoe
Reformer:
"The local nine and a coach of fans journeyed to Tillsonburg to open
the Western Ontario League. The stores were all closed up and after both
teams in uniform had paraded the principal streets behind a band that
adjourned to the fair ground where an immense crowd assembled. Tillsonburg
won the game 8-7." |
