student Evelyn Vidler Identified 18 Dec 2005 by Vic and Lenore Gibbons Confirmed 27 Jan 2006 by Shirley (Holden) Ross From Evelyn's granddaughter Jacki Hammond on 4 Dec 2006: Evelyn grew up in Simcoe, a daughter of Frank and Katharine Vidler. She become an elementary school teacher, married Maynard Franklin and settled in Port Rowan. They had two daughters. Evelyn was a Norfolk County elementary school teacher for many years and vice principal of the school in Langton during the 1960s. Evelyn was very involved in many aspects of community life in Port Rowan. The Weaver's Guild at Backus Mill is named after her. Evelyn and Maynard both died in 1990.
