      From Robert: Herb currently lives in Kingston, Ontario.  
 His sister Helen
      and brother Gord still live in Simcoe. 
       
      From Dave: Herbert Currie Pangborn was born 19 Oct 1925  
 to George Herbert
      Pangborn and his wife Amy Curry.  
 His dad was the manager of the American Can plant,
      a Simcoe Rotarian, and a member of the Norfolk General Hospital board.  
      Herb entered the RCAF in 1944 and spent the last year of the war stationed in Great Britain, where he was injured in a plane crash returning from a mission. He married Marjorie (Madge) Tindale  
 of Tillsonburg in 1950. 
      They had four children: Brant  
      (who died 2001), Lynne, David and Robert.  
 Herb stayed in the air force until his retirement in 1976 when he moved from Nova Scotia to Kingston,
      becoming a real estate  
 appraiser and antiques dealer. He still lives there and is active  
      driving cancer patients to hospital visits, assisting as a police volunteer, and working out at the YMCA with friends from his  
      Widows & Widowers group.  
 He attended the Dieppe ceremonies in 2005 and was honored by  
 the commander of the Royal Dutch Air Force as one of a few dozen surviving veterans issued a special commemorative medal.
