James Stanley Thompson, born 13 Feb 1915 in Hamilton, Ontario, son of James Thompson and Nora Garthorne. On 25 Aug 1937, Stan married person 227, Beatrice Van Brocklin. born 3 Dec 1914 in Simcoe, daughter of William Herbert Van Brocklin and Minnie Elizabeth Lambert.

Stan and Bea lived in Hamilton and Stoney Creek until 1959 when they settled near Kingston. Stan was superintendent of personnel at the CIL plant in Millhaven until he retired in 1981. He passed away 8 Aug 2003, survived by Bea, their two sons, four granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
