This is
student [Pat Grames] Identified in Port Ryerse 1794-1994 From webmaster John Cardiff on 6 Oct 2004; 17 Feb 2005: Port Ryerse 1794-1994 lists five names for the six people in the second row of the picture. The last (right most) name is Pat Grames, but it is impossible to tell which person was missed, so this identification is tentative. Pat had a sister, and it is assumed she is the Emma Grames in this photo. Pat lived north of Port Ryerse (Lot 2, Gore Woodhouse) in the late 1940s and was the hamlet's reclusive garbageman. Weekly when I was a child, he'd drive his two-horse flatbed garbage wagon through the hamlet picking waste. He would also pick up refundable bottles tossed from cars along the highway. W. B. Jackson bought his farm in 1950. Subsequently, Highway 24 was extended across this land. If you can confirm this person's identication, and/or provide biography or genealogy data, please email it to John Cardiff. |
