Notes: "Jack" graduated Ridley College and University of Toronto then entered his father's bond and insurance business, McKiee & Farrar. In 1927 at the age of 22, he was elected an alderman. In quick succession he was deputy-reeve and reeve, and at the age of 26 was elected Mayor of Simcoe. The [Toronto] Star Weekly and others published articles about the "Boy Mayor."
