Notes:
This surname also appears in the historical record spelled MacInnes. Andrew was raised the legal ward of Rob Roy novelist Sir Walter Scott. After touring Europe, Andrew moved to Grenada, British West Indies where he was said to be the youngest planter to receive indeminity when slavery was abolished in 1833. He came to Norfolk in 1839 and named his farm house just west of Vittoria Aberfoyle. This family was prominent in Vittoria for the next century.
