Shaw-Butler

The marriage of Mr. David W. Shaw of the staff of the government dispensary at Toronto, to Miss Leliah, youngest daughter of Mrs. Nancy Butler of Simcoe, took place last Saturday at Trinity Church, the ceremony being performed by Rev. A. B. Farney..

The bride was unattended, and wore a travelling suit of navy blue tricotine, a corsage bouquet of orchids and lily of the valley, and a blue ribbon hat with French flowers. She was given away by her brother, C. S. Butler.

Only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties were present, among they being: Misses Agnes and Bessie Shaw, and Miss Emma Lear of Toronto.

During the sing of the register, which was witnessed by Mr. C. S. Butler and Miss Agnes Shaw, Miss Nettie Storey sang "Because," Miss Enid Johnson presiding at the organ for this, the processional and recessional selections.

The party joined in a buffet luncheon at the home of the bride's mother. Mr. C. S. Butler received a silver cigarette case, Miss Agnes Shaw a silver top jar, Miss Enid Johnson, the organist, a gold coin purse, and Miss Nettie Storey a silver coin purse.

The many gifts showered upon the bride bespoke her popularity among her friends. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw will reside in Toronto.

Mrs. Nancy Butler, mother of the bride, celebrated her birthday on her daughter's wedding day.
