Death of
Angus Johnson
Mr. Angus Johnson of
Stevensville died Monday morning and was brought to Delhi Wednesday
morning for interment in the Delhi Cemetery.
For months Mr. Johnson had
been ill and after taking treatments in a Buffalo hospital for some
time he was able to return to his home in Stevensville and was
getting along so well that he expected to return to his duties as
G.T.R. agent on 1 Apr 1921.
Saturday last he took a
decidedly unfavorable turn and Sunday his relatives in Delhi were
notified to come at once as his condition was critical.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Kellum
left on the Wabash in the afternoon and word came in Sunday night
about 7.30 o'clock that the doctor had given up hopes of his
recovery and he passed away Monday morning.
The remains were conveyed to
the home of Mrs. Johnson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Kellum, and
the funeral will take place today.
Mr. Johnson is well-known in
Delhi, having wored in the local station under Mr. F. D. Barnes
during which time he made many friends in the community.
His death seems doubly sad
as his wife and relations had been hopeful that he had been
permanently cured and would soon be enjoying his usual good health
after his long siege of severe illness. Mr. Johnson was only 33
years old and leaves a widow, nee Miss May Kellum.
