Wright-Kitchen
The Methodist Church was the
scene of a very pretty wedding on Saturday last, when Miss Florence
N. Kitchen, eldest daughter of Mrs. Martha Kitchen of Waterford, was
united in marriage to Mr. Llewellyn A. Wright of Toronto.
Promptly at three o'clock
the bride, wearing her travelling suit of navy blue, entered with
her mother, while the wedding march was played by Mr. Mansell Young
of Wilsonville. The church was artistically decorated with ferns,
asters and dahlias, and the nuptial knot was tied before a bank of
these beautiful flowers. Rev. H. Wilkins conducted the ceremony in
the presence of about 60 invited guests and many other friends of
the bride, who is so well and favorably known in Waterford.
During the signing of the
register, Miss Ruth Wilkins played Jules Reynard's charming
composition, "A Bowl of Pansies." After the ceremony, a
reception was held at the home of Mrs. Kitchen were a delightful
buffet lunch was served on the lawn, Short congratulatory and eulogizing
speeches were made and Mr. and Mrs. Wright left for Toronto amid
showers of confetti and good wishes. Many beautiful and costly gifts
among which were several cheques betokened the high esteem in which
the young couple are held.
