ST. WILLIAMS

A pretty home wedding took place on 14 May 1910 at 11:30 p.m. when Mr. Charles Finton of Hamilton was married to Miss Emily Ann Woodward, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hallum Woodward, the Rev. H. Bray being the officiating clergyman.

The bride was attired in a brown silk gown and carried a bouquet of roses and carnations. The first to enter the parlor was the groom, attended by Mr. Hopling of Hamilton. Next came little Madeline Woodward, who looked sweet in pink silk. She carried a basket of flowers in which was hidden wedding ring. Miss Angie Bates, the bridesmaid, dressed all in white, preceded the bride, who entered on the arm of her father.

After the ceremony, the guests, to  the number of 100 assembled in the nicely decorated dining-room, where a delicious repast was served. After partaking of the good things, toasts were drunk and a solo, "The Golden Wedding Morn," was sung by Mr. Hanson Ferris.

The bride's travelling suit was of broadcloth, with hat to match. The happy couple left on the 2 o'clock train for Niagara and Buffalo. They will live in Hamilton.
