A lightly edited transcript of a page 1 article from the 11 Nov 1920 issue of the Simcoe Reformer.

The Late John E. Wilson

There died at his home on the Gravel Road, four miles west of Simcoe, on Wednesday,
3 Nov 1920, Mr. John E. Wilson, in his 84th year, after a short illness.

Mr. Wilson was a son of a pioneer of Norfolk, being born on the same farm on which he died, he having seen the Gravel Road change from a deer trail to a plank road, then to the gravel road of which it is today, and very few in the county did not know the familiar faces of Uncle John and Aunt Lucy.

Deceased leaves to mourn his loss a wife, one son, Alvin, and a daughter, Mrs. Ashton Munn of Windham Centre.

The remains were laid to rest in Salem on Friday and many extend to the bereaved sympathy in the loss of a kind husband and father.
