Wagner-Beal

The Church of Our Lady, at LaSalette, made lovely with geraniums and roses, was the scene of a charming June wedding on Tuesday morning, 21 Jun 1921, when Margaret Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Beal, was married to Mr. Albert Wagner.

The youthful bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, wore a beautiful travelling gown of blue tricotine, with white picture hat of georgette and mohair. Her corsage bouquet was of Ophelia roses.

Miss Adelaide Wagner, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid and was most suitably garbed in henna tricolette with black picture hat. The groom was attended by Mr. Frank Beal, brother of the bride. Rev. Father Mahoney officiated at the ceremony in the presence of a large concourse of the friends of the contracting parties. Throughout the service Miss Zita Pettit sang most beautifully and while the register was being signed soft music filled the church.

The bride was the recipient of many beautiful gifts of silver, cut glass and china, showing the high esteem in which she is held in this community. After a dainty wedding breakfast served at the bride's home, the happy couple left for their honeymoon in Niagara Falls, Buffalo and New York. On their return, Mr. and Mrs. Wagner will reside in Hawtrey, where the best wishes of their friends will always be with them.
