A lightly edited partial transcription of the Simcoe column on page 4 of the 2 Jun 1921 issue of the Waterford Star newspaper.

P. C. Vandekamer, the wealthy Belgian who came out from The Hague in April of last year and purchased an estate near Lynedoch to begin operations in tobacco growing on a large scale, died at his home on Monday. The remains will be interred at Lynedoch today with Masonic honors.

Two daughters of  the deceased who have been attending college in Guelph, came home a fortnight ago.

Mr. Vandekamer had, before coming to Norfolk, had a wide experience as a tobacco grower in the middle east before coming to Canada.

He was a man of most sanguine temperament.

Mr. Vandekamer had been indisposed for several months and his demise was not unexpected.
