A lightly edited partial transcription of the Port Dover column on page 6 of the 8 Sep 1921 Waterford Star newspaper.

With startling suddenness the call came to Charlotte Emily, beloved wife of William F. Tibbetts, Saturday forenoon last, in her 69th year. Mrs. Tibbetts had for some time been in failing health, but the last fortnight her health seemed to be greatly improved.

On the morning of her demise she had accompanied a relative as far as the Methodist Church corner, and while returning to her own home, stopped to exchange a few words of neighborly greeting with Mrs. James Sloan. As she turned to depart the end came.

Mrs. Tibbetts, was of U.E.L. descent, a daughter of the late Ozias and Clara Ansley, and was born in Port Dover in 1853. She and Mr. Tibbetts were married on 1 Jul 1977. She is survived by her husband and her three sons:
Hugh A. Tibbetts and Alan N. Tibbetts of Fort Frances, and L. R. Tibbetts of Port Dover. Mrs. Tibbetts brother, Harry W. Ansley, predeceased her some two years ago.

Mrs. Tibbetts was a life member of Britomart Chapter, I.O.D.E., and a valued member of the congregation of St. Paul's Anglican Church. It will be long ere the memory of the unfailing, kindly courtesy of the deceased will fade from the minds of the people of the village.

The service was held in St. Paul's Church on Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in Port Dover Cemetery.
