Riding names Sutton
Simcoe, 17 Oct 1921 --
William Sutton, miller and grain and coal merchant, was the
unanimous choice of the National, Liberal and Conservative party in
Norfolk at an enthusiastic mass meeting held here today.
There was a capacity
assembly in the Court House and selection was very popular.
The following were also in
the nomination, but withdrew one after another, pledging support to
the ultimate choice:
H. P. Innes, K.C., Simcoe;
J. R. Waddle, farmer, of Woodhouse;
John S. Martin, poultry man and farmer of Port Dover;
Frank Reid, barrister, Simcoe;
Peter Quance, lumberman, Delhi;
Henry Wallace, farmer, of Middleton.
