Strath-Downing
The Indian Head Vidette

At 4 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 9 Mar 1910, at the home of Mr. Lorne Downing, the marriage took place of Miss Mary Luella Downing to Mr. James Strath, both of Katepwa. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. McMillan of Balcarrea.

The bride was ably assisted by Miss May Downing and Mr. Dan Strath acted as the best man, while Mrs. Lorne Downing presided at the organ. The bride was attired in a charming gown of white satin with long veil and wreath of orange blossoms, she also carried a magnificent bouquet of flowers.

The ceremony was performed before about 50 friends and relatives who had gathered for the occasion. The gifts were costly and numerous, and gave vent to the high esteem in which the young couple are held at Katepwa.

Mr. and Mrs. Strath will shortly leave for Maple Creek where they have secured land and will reside in the future.
