Silver Wedding Anniversary

On Friday, 11 Mar 1921, Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Skinner of Wilsonville celebrated the 25th anniversary of their wedding.

About 20 guests were invited to join in the festal occasion and spent a very enjoyable time around the bountiful table and after dinner stories, music and reminiscences of by-gone days. A foul dinner was served at one o'clock to which all did ample justice. It was served by Mervyn and Marjorie Skinner, son and daughter of the host and hostess, and Miss Alice Skinner, their niece.

The host is of Scotch parentage and many happy allusion were made concerning the land of heather and its people in after dinner congratulations. Mrs. Skinner is the youngest daughter of the late Gilbert Messecar of Waterford.

The guests included: Rev. Wray R. Smith of Brantford, who tied the nuptial knot 25 years ago; Rev. Mr. Rodgers and wife of Oakland;
Mr. and Mrs. James Kettle, Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Nelles of Wilsonville; Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Eddy of Brantford; Mr. and Mrs. Elias Messecar of Round Plains; and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Skinner and Miss Alice Skinner of Simcoe.
