Items of Local Interest

The marriage of John R. Sherk of Simcoe and Miss Ida C. Pickle of Wingham, took place in London on Friday. Rev. T. R. Roy
of Talbot Street Baptist Church performed the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Sherk arrived in Simcoe Friday night and were recipients of many tangible tokens of good-will.

Mr. Sherk was remembered by the men in his charge at the Wabash yards, Windsor, where not a few Simconians are with him. Chas. G. Canning was deputed to come home for the weekend and convey to Mr. Sherk the felicitations of his colleagues.

Mrs. Sherk is a veteran of the Great War, having served in France in charge of one
of the largest dressing stations on the
allied front.
