Wedding
Bells
A pretty autumn wedding took
place in Bloomsburg on
13 Oct 1897 at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. John Rusling, when
their eldest daughter, Minnie B., was united in marriage to Mr. W.
James Schuyler, eldest son of Mr.
W. H. Schuyler of Townsend.
The Rev. A. Slaght of
Waterford performed the ceremony in the presence of a few immediate
relatives and friends of the contracting parties. The bride was
neatly attired in a dress of navy blue with cream silk and pearl
trimming and carried a boquet [sic] of orange blossoms and
chrysanthemums.
The wedding dinner that
followed showed that the hostess had spared no pains whatever in its
preparation. The many beautiful present indicated the high esteem in
with the bride was held by her friends.
