Waterford

On Saturday about 9 a.m. the late Elizabeth Savage, aged 89 years, passed peacefully away at the home of her son, T. C. Savage.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Blair, was born near Streetsville in Halton County, and was united in marriage 20 Oct 1862 to the late John Savage, who died in the year 1906. This union was blessed with a family of six boy, three of whom survive: Dr. Wesley and J. B. of Windsor, and T.C. of Waterford.

The late John and Mrs. Savage spent about 35 years of their life in Brantford. When the G.T.R. shops were moved to London, they went to that city, shortly after returning to Brantford.

The late Mrs. Savage has lived with her son, T. C. Savage, for upwards of15 years. The late Mr. and Mrs. Savage were members of the Wesleyan Methodist Church before union with the Episcopal Methodist. The deceased was a most kind and affectionate mother and though of a retiring disposition was beloved and highly respected by all who knew her. 

The funeral took place Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the residence of 
T. C. Savage. A service was held at the house, conducted by Rev. 
H. Williams, pastor of the deceased. Interment took place in Greenwood Cemetery, Brantford.

Death of Mrs. Elizabeth Savage

Mrs. Elizabeth Savage died at the home of her son in Waterford on Saturday, 23 Apr 1921, in her 89th year. A few weeks ago she suffered 
a stroke and since that  time had been gradually growing weaker.

She fully realized the end was near and expressed a desire to join her Heavenly Father. She was tendered all  the care and love of the household and everything was done for her comfort. She had many dear friends among neighbors and citizens of Waterford, who extend sincerest sympathy to the bereaved ones.

Mrs. Savage was born in Trafalgar Township and her maiden name was Elizabeth Blair. She married John Savage over 60 years ago. For over 30 years they lived in Brantford and the family grew up. About 19 years ago, they moved to Waterford. Mr. Savage died in 1906. Three sons survive: Dr. Wesley Savage and Mr. J. B. Savage of Windsor, and 
Mr. T. C. Savage of Waterford.

The funeral services were held Tuesday morning, the service being conducted by her pastor, Rev. H. Wilkins. Interment took place in Greenwood Cemetery, Brantford.
