Austin-Pennington
Windsor Record,
June 30: Miss Frances B. Pennington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James Pennington, was united in marriage to Wallace O. Austin
(formerly of Simcoe), manager of Pond's Pharmacy, Glengarry
avenue, Wednesday at high noon, at the home of the bride's
parents, Rev. F. W. Hollingrake officiating.
The ceremony was performed
in the presence of about 50 friends and relatives of the
principals, including a number of out of town guests.
The bride looked charming
in her gown of ivory white satin, and carried bride's roses. She
was attended by her sister, Miss Maud Pennington of Detroit. A
younger sister of the bride acted as ring bearer. George Mains was
best man.
The groom's gift to the
bride was a handsome pearl necklace, and to the attendants pearl
rings. The family residence was decorated with palms and ferns,
and immediately afte the wedding the guests partook of dainty
luncheon. Mrs. Austin was the recipient of many beautiful gifts.
The young couple left for
a two week trip to Toronto and Ottawa, after which they will take
up their residence in this city.
