Death of Mr.
F. H. Pearce
The death
occurred on Friday afternoon last at his late residence, 84 Court
Street, Simcoe, of Mr. Frank H. Pearce, aged 64 years.
Although
deceased had only been confined to his room for the past month, he
had been suffering from an illness extending over some three or four
years.
Deceased was
born in Simcoe and was the last surviving son of a family of four
sons and one daughter of the late John Pearce, well-known to older
Simconians. He is survived by his sister, Annie, who has always
lived with her brother.
The late Mr.
Pearce was a printer by trade and started in to learn the business
with the British Canadian, later working with his brother,
the late P. J. Pearce, of the Waterford Star. For about 20
year he was on the mechanical staff of the Simcoe Reformer.
Later he ran a small job plant of his own, but retired about two
years ago.
The funeral
took place on Monday afternoon to the family plot in Old Windham
burying ground. The services were conducted by Rev. H, C. Newcombe
and the pall-bearers were Messrs. Henry Johnson, Angus M.
Munro,
Archie E. Culver, Isaac D. Lawson, Joseph W. Church
and Edward E. Collins.
