Palmerton-Nicholls
A very pretty house
wedding was solemnized at the residence of Rev. Dr. Dey, Simcoe,
on Monday, 29 Nov 1920, at 2.30, when Lillian Nicholls became the bride of
Norman Palmerton. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. Dey.
The bride was prettily
gowned in peach colored satin and was attended b her sister, Miss
Susie Nicholls, who wore a gown of rose colored silk. The groom
was supported by his brother, Mr. Gordon Palmerton.
When the nuptial knot had
been tied, the wedding party repaired to the home of the bride's
father, Mr. George Nicholls of King Street, Simcoe, where a
splendid wedding luncheon was served to about 30 guests who were
present from Brantford, Simcoe and Port Dover.
The bride received many
beautiful and costly gifts, evidencing the esteem of her many
friends. The groom's gift to the bridesmaid was a pearl ring and
to the groomsman, a watch fob.
The bridal couple left via
the L.E. and N. to spend their honeymoon in Hamilton and Toronto.
