SIMCOE, 9 May 1921 -- Advice was received here on Saturday of the death at Christie street Hospital in Toronto, of Daniel B. McCool, son of the late John McCool of Simcoe. The late Mr. McCool was about 50 years of age and a member of the Masonic chapter here and of the Knights of Pythias in Milwaukee.

Born and educated in Simcoe, he was a clever student who had his lessons up in plenty of time to amuse himself in the pursuit of good-natured pranks. He made many friend by his cheerful, buoyant disposition which he maintained through life.

Choosing tailoring as an occupation he became proficient on the bench, and spent many years in Milwaukee and other American cities plying his trade. Some seven years ago he returned to his home town and presently signed up with the 133rd Battalion, C.E.F., with which unit he went to England as sergeant tailor. Some three years ago his health became unstable, but he continued at work, latterly in Hamilton, until one year ago. He went to Toronto in January for hospital treatment.

There remain four sisters and one brother to mourn his early demise. These are: Mrs. McKerlie and Miss Pauline McCool of Simcoe,
Miss Nellie McCool of Toronto, Mrs. Benj. Abbott of Port Rowan,
and George McCool of Aylmer, formerly of Vanessa.
