The Late Mrs. Eliza Massecar

On Saturday, 11 Jun 1921, Ann Eliza, aged 86 years, relict of the late Edwin Massecar, departed this life at the home of her son, Mr. Harry Massecar of Townsend Township.

To know the deceased was to love her for when in the prime of life she never shirked her duty, and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand in time of need, and was above all a devoted follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was one a few short weeks ago that she attended divine service in the Waterford Baptist Church of which she was a faithful and consistent member. She possessed many of those admirable qualities so noticeable among the pioneers of this county.

The deceased is survived by three daughters:
Mrs. G. B. Hellerman of Waterford, Mrs. F. T. Lefler of Niagara Falls, and Mrs. W. Brown of Round Plains; and three sons: John S. of Round Plains, Harry of Townsend, and Robert of Niagara Falls; three sisters: Mrs. Boughner of Windsor, Mrs. A. Wilson of Simcoe, and Mrs. Adams of Brantford; and one brother, Mr. M. Boughner of Tillsonburg, all of whom excepting the last, were able to attend the funeral on Monday, 13 Jun 1921 at 12 o'clock.

The services were conducted by Rev. J. B. Moore, assisted by Rev. J. D. MacLachlan and Mr. T. C. Savage, who sang sweetly an appropriate solo. Interment took place in Greenwood Cemetery.
