New Companies formed at Dover

Port Dover, 6 Dec 1921 -- The Regal Poultry Feed Company, Limited, is the latest addition to the Port's industries and uses the formula for feed which John S. Martin has found to give the best results in his mammoth poultry industry.

Mr. Martin began in 1901 with a few s in the backyard of his boarding house in Port Dover. Today his business requires 150 acres of land and there are at present 6,000 birds on his farm.

This year he sold a pen of five birds to Mrs. Bessie V. Carswell of Kansas City, for $3,000.

Some idea of the immensity of Mr. Martin's operations may be gathered from the facts that:
during the busy season he employs as many as seven stenographers;
there are over five tons of paper in the latest edition of his catalogue;
his advertising accounts amount to about $12,000 per annum.
