Boyce-Knight

A pretty wedding was solemnized on Wednesday, 2 Mar 1921 at 12.30, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Knight of Vanessa, when their younger daughter, Alethea Annie, became the bride of Mr. John Alton Boyce of Kelvin.

The bride, unattended, becomingly attired in a gown of flesh colored crepe de chene, carrying a bouquet of carnations and roses, entered the parlor with her father, who led her to her place beneath an arch of evergreen and beautiful house plants. The wedding march from Lohengrin was played by Miss Edna Schunk, niece of the bride.

After the ceremony and congratulations, the wedding party, consisting of the immediate relatives, sat down to a sumptuous wedding dinner. Amidst showers off best wishes, in which a host of friends will be glad to join, the happy couple left of the afternoon train for Niagara Falls and points east.

For many years, the bride has been the organist of the Vanessa Church. Her splendid  musical ability and her bright unselfish disposition have won for her an ever widening circle of friends, all of whom join heartily in extending to her and Mr. Boyce their sincere best wishes for happiness in their new home at Kelvin.
