The Late Mrs. Kitchen

There died at her home in Woodhouse Township on Monday, 20 [sic] Jun 1920, Mrs. Mary J. Kitchen, aged 71 years.

Deceased had been ailing for some time, but was not confined to her bed until two weeks previous to her death.

She was a daughter of the late Elliott Watson, and was born in the year 1848 in Haldimand County.

She was taken in as a member of the Presbyterian Church, Port Dover, 47 years ago. 

In the year 1877 she was married to Elias Kitchen of Townsend. After her marriage she lived for about two years in Townsend, when they moved to Woodhouse, where her husband died 28 years ago.

Deceased leaves three daughters to mourn her loss: 
Mrs. Charles Hilliard of Jarvis, 
Mrs. John Lindsay of Nanticoke, 
and Miss Ethel at home. 
Five sisters and one brother also survive.

The funeral took place from her late residence to Port Dover Cemetery, on 
30 Jun 1920, and was conducted by the Rev. J. Robertson.
