Died in Walpole

Jarvis Record -- George Henry Honey, whose sudden decease last Wednesday was a great surprise to the community, was born in Cornwall, England, in the year 1857. When but a child to two years of age he emigrated to Bowmanville, Ont., where his boyhood was for the most part spent.

Later the family moved to Villa Nova. On 26 Feb 1874 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth C. Watson and resided near Rockford for some time. About 17 years ago they moved to Walpole, where they have since resided.

He was an industrious and highly respected citizen, enjoying the esteem of his neighbors and the good will of all. He was a member of the Home Circle for 20 years.

He had been ailing some for most of the winter, but with returning spring it was hoped he would soon be around again. But it was not to be. In the afternoon of Wednesday, 23 Mar 1910, surrounded by his family, he passed away.

The funeral was on Friday afternoon, a short service being conducted by his pastor in the Methodist church and he was buried in the family plot in the Rockford Cemetery.
