Death of Gladys Goold

Vanessa, 10 Sep 1921 -- A gloom came over our village on Saturday morning at 9.30, when the death angel came and took in his arms the dear life of Gladys Aileen Goold, eldest daughter of Edward and Della Goold. Her death came very suddenly as she had only been home from Buffalo six weeks.

She leaves to mourn their loss, her parents, one brother, Harold, two sisters, Lela and Elda. The funeral service was conducted on Sunday afternoon on the Methodist Church lawn, by Rev. J. E. Mitchell, who took for his text, the 23rd Psalm. A large number gathered to pay their last respects, and look on the girl who lay cold in her casket.

Gladys had died as she lived, very peacefully and quietly. She had always lived a Christian life and became a member of the First Baptist Church, Brantford, and was baptized by the Rev. Llewellyn Brown at the age of 15.
