Simcoe

Simcoe, 25 May 1921 -- Frank E. Curtis, barrister, and secretary treasurer of the Board of Education, was painfully and perhaps seriously injured at his home here this morning by the premature discharge of a shotgun.

He had arranged with T. E. Langford to look after his business during a fortnight's absence in the north on a hunting trip and he was expected to leave town today.

His housekeeper, Mrs. Black, who was in the garden at the time of the accident, on learning what had happened, lost no time in securing medical aid. His condition is regarded as very critical.

Simcoe, 26 May 1921 -- Frank E. Curtis, unfortunate victim of the shooting accident yesterday, took a turn for the worse shortly after
2.30 this morning, and died within a few minutes.
The funeral will be private.
