Death of Mr. E. Bothwell

The funeral of the late Edward Bothwell took place on Tuesday to Oakwood Cemetery from the Air Line depot on the arrival of the train from Hamilton. Mr. Bothwell died in the City Hospital in Hamilton on Sunday. He was in his 63rd year and had been ill since early in June.

Mr. Bothwell was well-known in the southern part of Townsend, where he was born, and where he lived until a few years ago, engaged in farming.

Having acquired a competency he removed to Simcoe with his a sister who always kept house for him, he having never married. In Simcoe they lived up to two years ago, when Miss Bothwell died. Mr. Bothwell then went to live in Hamilton, with Dr. and Mrs. Jones, the latter being his niece.

About the last of May the three started on a trip to the Pacific Coast, but while visiting friends in Saskatchewan, Mr. Bothwell was taken ill and the party was obliged to return home. From his illness he never recovered, dying as before stated on Sunday.
