LOCAL ITEMS

Mrs. E. H. Jackson of Colborne Street North, Simcoe, had her sister, Mr. and 
Mrs. J. Black of Montreal, visiting.

W. A. Sihler, M.D., C.M., of Devil's Lake, North Dakota, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Sihler, Talbot Street, Simcoe, has obtained the degree of F.A.C.S. (Fellow American College Surgeons) at a meeting held in Montreal last week of the Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons.

On Wed 6 Oct 1920, at Walsingham, the Rev. A. Woolley united in marriage Miss Estella K. White and Carlton A. Trickett. The young couple were attended by Mr. 
and Mrs. Lloyd Ponting. 
After a motor trip to Hamilton and Niagara Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Trickett will reside on Cloverley Farm, Port Rowan.

John Bowden Austin, only son of Isaac and Elizabeth Austin, 13 Kent Street South, Simcoe, was laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe, on Sat. 16 Oct 1920. After an illness extending over seven years, the little lad died in Ontario Hospital on Thu 14 Oct 1920. Besides his sorrowing parents he leaves to mourn his loss four sisters: Eva, Ada, Ethel and Jean.
Relatives from a distance were: 
J. J. Bowden, Mrs. D. Caughell, and 
Mrs. H. Smithson of Brantford; and 
Miss Millie Bowden of Toronto. 
The floral offerings were beautiful and included a wreath from grandfather and aunts; sprays from Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Lampkins and Mrs. Johnson, and one from Fern Rebekah Lodge.
