MARRIED IN LONDON

Foote-Halcrow

Thursday, 16 Sep 1920 was the occasion of the marriage of John Leslie Foote, son of Mrs. Foote and the late Rev. F. J. Foote, of Shanty Bay, and Muriel Annie Halcrow, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. B. Halcrow of Surbiton, England.

The wedding was solemnized at St. George Church, London, by the Rev. Canon Sage, assisted by the Rev. C. Luscombe. The church was prettily decorated by Mrs. Hobbs and Mrs. Simms, the altar flowers being white and those of the Chancel pink and white.

The bride, wearing grey and royal blue, was given away by Mr. F. G. Kingsmill of London, and was supported by Miss Grace Foote, sister of the bridegroom as bridesmaid. Captain W. E. Bidwell, a fellow officer of the bridegroom in the 24th Bn. V.R.C., acted as best man.

A reception was held at Belleview Farm after the ceremony and later the bride and groom left for a short honeymoon. Mr. and Mrs. Foote were the recipients of many presents from relatives and friends in England and Canada.
