Death of Mrs. Christina L. Youse

The death of Christina C. Lewenstein, widow of the late Frederick C. Youse, of Middleton, occurred recently from consumption, after a long illness.

Deceased was born in Middleton, June 4th, 1867, and on Nov. 1st, 1888 married Mr. F. C. Youse, who died about two years ago, also from consumption.

Mrs. Youse is survived by three children, Lydia, Clara and Thomas, her aged decrepit father, Christoff Lewenstein, three brothers, John of Middleton, Jacob of Wyecombe and George of Toledo, Ohio, two sisters, Mrs. John Wa[l]ters, of Middleton and Mrs. W. Staib, of Delhi.

The funeral took place in Rhineland, the Rev. O. Weinbach, Lutheran pastor, conducting the service. The very large number who attended the funeral at the house, as well as in the church, testified eloquently of the sorrow and empathy which is being felt for the bereaved family.

Some beautiful sprays, wreathes and designs of flowers were sent by friends from Buffalo and other places. Amongst these floral offerings was a fine pillow of flowers from the Ladies' Aid of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Rhineland, of which deceased had been a member.

The pallbearers were Messrs. John Ebert, Geo. Albrecht, Thomas Unver[.]gt, Silas Boughner, Chas. Nunn and Wm. Arthur Boughner.
