Mary E. Wyckoff

One of Simcoe's best known residents, Mary Estella Wyckoff, passed away on Sunday at the home of her brother, Elmer Wyckoff, Lynnwood Avenue, following a lengthy illness.

Deceased was born in Townsend township and was a daughter of the late Isaac G. Wyckoff and Rebecca Ann McCall. Twenty-three years ago she moved to Simcoe with her brother, Elmer Wyckoff and had resided here ever since. She was a member of St. James United Church. Besides her brother she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Wallace Mason of Toronto.

A large number of friends, relatives and neighbors were in attendance at the funeral which was held from her late residence on Tuesday afternoon. Rev. T. R. Todd of St. James United church officiated, assisted by Rev. J. W. Kitching of Vittoria United church.

Among those in attendance were friends and relatives from Buffalo, Toronto, St. Catharines, Tillsonburg, St. Williams and Norwich.

The pallbearers were Lewis Sharp, Ernest Erwin, Walter Veal, Frederick Wyckoff, Clarence Wedrick and Wray Smith. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford.
