Mrs. George Williams

The death of Edith Brisseau, wife of George Williams, occurred at her home near Frogmore on Thursday at the age of 70 years and six months.

She had been in poor health for several weeks suffering with bronchitis, which developed into bronchial pneumonia a few days before her death.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Brisseau and was born in 1867.

The funeral which was held on the following Sunday afternoon at the Tabernacle, was conducted by 
Rev. Mr. Gilmore, assisted by Rev. Mr. Nye, both Brethen of Christ ministers.

Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters,
Ila, Mrs. Luscombe Townsend of Walsingham,
Vera, Mrs. Alonzo Vannatter, and
Mildred, Mrs. Harley Stillwell, both of Houghton,
and four sons, Herman of Detroit, Lee of Guysboro, Lloyd and Bruce of Houghton. 
Three children died in infancy.

Two brothers also survive, Nelson Brisseau of Union, and Wesley of Saskatoon; also 20 grandchildren.
Four sisters, Alvora, Louise, Olive and Lizzie, predeceased her.

The pallbearers were Alex Chapman, Ernest Fick, 
John Hall, Basil Long, Ira Long and Rev. Mr. Fluelling.

A large number of friends and relatives joined in the procession to Bethel cemetery, at the Brethren of Christ Church on the seventh concession of Walsingham.
