Port Rowan: Charles H. Trickett,
born at Pitman's Corners, near Port Rowan, son of Thomas Trickett and
Mary Brown, who married Miss Ethel Hutchings 53 years ago,
will celebrate his 82nd birthday at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Alonzo Roloson,
with whom he has resided for 10 years, on Saturday.
Charles and Ethel had four daughters, all
born in Langton, where they lived for 37 years. They are:
Mrs. Alonzo Roloson of Port Rowan,
Mrs. John Swift of Boston,
Mrs. Clarence Gee of Bealton. and
Mrs. Clayton Moore of Cayuga.
There also are eight grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.
Charles has one brother and four sisters living:
Samuel Trickett of South Walsingham,
Mrs. Alice Scott of London,
Mrs. Harry Brooks of Port Rowan,
Mrs. Julia Overbaugh of Hamilton, and
Mrs. Hannah Bint of Walsh.
Mrs. Trickett passed away while staying
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Swift, in Delhi, three years ago
last September.
Mr. Trickett enjoys good health, reads
with glasses, and makes frequent visits to the homes of his daughters.
An adherent of the United Church of Canada, he is a former member of the
Foresters' Lodge.
