Mr.
Alvey Thompson, father of Alfred and Edwin Thompson, Vittoria,
died on Tuesday of this week at Clear Creek.
Deceased was om his 86th
year. He was born near Lake Simcoe and came to Norfolk County as a
young man. He had been a resident of
the country ever since.
Sixty-three years ago he was
married to Miss Eliza Myers, who survives him. To this union were
born five sons and one daughter:
Thomas of Niagara Falls, Ont.;
Hiram of Clear Creek;
Alfred and Edwin of Vittoria;
William of Alabama; and
Mrs. Schuyler White of Port Rowan; all of whom survive.
The funeral will take place
this afternoon to Dedrick's burial ground.
