WALTER H. STANSELL

Inventor, amateur historian, craftsman, Walter H. Stansell of Straffordville passed away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Monday, November 9, 1981, in his 97th year.

Born in Houghton Township, December 7, 1884, he was a son of the late George Stansell and the former Agnes Priddle. Mr. Stansell was the oldest member and a Past Master of Guysboro Orange Lodge No. 556 and was also a member of the Royal Black Preceptory No. 926, Tillsonburg.

Has wife, the former Theresa Armstrong, predeceased him in 1924. Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Myrtle) Smith of Hamilton, and Mrs. Russell (Marjorie) McGuirk of Elland; one son, Lloyd (Bud) Stansell of Straffordville; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Resting at the Ostrander's Funeral Home, Tillsonburg, where service will be held Thursday, November 12 at 1:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Gordon Chaffe. Interment in Kinglake Cemetery.

A Lodge service will be held at the Funeral Home tonight (Wednesday) at 8 o'clock under the auspices of Guysboro Orange Lodge.
