Mrs.
Alfred E. Souter, a former citizen of Norfolk, died at her home in
Shelby, Michigan on 4 Nov 1919.
Mrs. Souter was 64 years old, and
lived near Port Dover with her mother until she was 11, when they
went to Michigan, the father having died some years previous.
For several years she taught school
and after her marriage to Alfred E. Souter in 1875, her activities
for the good of the community did not cease.
She belonged to many fraternal
orders and societies which tended to strengthen the moral and
social life of the community.
She leaves besides her husband, one
daughter and four sons, all of whom live in the States.
